Built to house the runoff from a nearby mine, the Silo is the smaller version of the warehouse. With an ability to hold over thousands of units of raw materials, the silo is a storage facility that does not take up large amounts of space, nor cost nearly as much as a warehouse.
Traditionally created to house grain and produce from various farms, it has become a worthy rival to the warehouse for smaller goods markets. It is able to hold large amounts of materials as well as goods and has a hangar bay to store vehicles in. Defence forces have used the ploy in times past of hiding their vehicles in silos and emerging once the enemy has past them to trap them in a pincer movement. This tactic was notably used on Thyferra during the clone wars where speed and efficiency was paramount due to the fragile nature of Alahzi growth mediums..
