Oseon 6-7975 is just another rock orbiting in this wide asteroid belt, the result of a collision of two major planets, back when the galaxy was young. The extreme distance from the central sun makes this small galactic reef a harsh place to live, and even harsher to earn a living.

Some centuries ago, during one of the numerous varium rushes happening cyclically, many people, young and old, came to the belt seeking fame and wealth and perished due to the impossible conditions of work, the lack of food and supplies and frequent pirate raids. But even still, the mining shanties eventually became a mining town and then a colony, which earned the distinction as the most prominent colony on the rim of the Oseon system.

The colony expanded and settled, but the inhabitants knew the end of the varium vein would bring the end of the colony. Only a few colonists, like the bartender of the "Dust In Mouth Cantina" stayed once the deposit was depleted. Most of the buildings have suffered little damage with time and a few of them hold only memories of the Varium Age. One such relic is the old Shockboxing complex, where annual championship matches were held, along with the hospitals were the boxers were healed.

Private funds have sporadically been thrown into this dying place, however, and for a time after each new influx, life returns to the barren rocks. The population of Oseon 6-7975 are pragmatic about their existence and through their own brand of direct democracy, often lend their support to whichever group is in current control of the system in the hopes of attracting further investment.
